Natur&Foto – A Magazine for Nature and Photography Enthusiasts
Natur&Foto is published by Visuell Natur AS, a company owned by nature photographers Baard Næss and Tom Schandy, together with designer Merci Abrahamsen. Baard and Tom are professional, award-winning nature photographers with a strong commitment to both Norwegian and international conservation and wildlife. Merci is responsible for the magazine’s visual design and helps shape the distinctive look and feel of Natur&Foto.
Since its launch in 2010, Natur&Foto has worked to inspire more people to experience, photograph, and protect nature. As of September 1, 2026, we have published 84 issues of Natur&Foto magazine, featuring outstanding nature photography, in-depth articles, photographic techniques, and interviews with some of the leading nature photographers in the Nordic region.
In 2014, we organized our first photography tour to Uganda. Since then, we have arranged photography tours to 26 countries around the world, and today Natur&Foto is Norway’s largest organizer of this type of travel. Our tours are led by experienced nature photographers and offer unique wildlife and nature experiences, excellent photographic opportunities, and personal guidance. We are also the organizers of the Nordic Nature Photo Contest, the largest nature photography competition in the Nordic countries. The competition showcases both established photographers and emerging talents.
Natur&Foto is more than a magazine—it is a community for everyone who shares a passion for nature, photography, and unforgettable outdoor experiences.
